After more than 30 years, Chanda Zaveri, who came to the US in 1984 as a penniless young Indian girl from Kolkata, India, to escape an arranged marriage and pursue her studies in biology, returned home to arrange a yearly gift in her name to fund cancer research at the University of Kolkata.

Today, Ms. Zaveri is President and Founder of SOL Biotech. She is also hands-on in formulating products which are often described as astonishing!

Chanda has been a pioneer in the evolution of skincare since 1994, when she began developing a series of products based on unique peptide chemistry. Her understanding of biological cell structures and their interaction with peptides has made her one of the world’s leading experts in peptide chemistry.
